Illinois Department of Natural Resouces Coastal Management Program is now accepting applications for grants from $1000 to $5000 and from $20,000 to $100,000 for environmental education and sustainable coastal planning projects in Lake and Cook Counties in Illinois.
Illinois Department of Natural Resources Biodiversity Field Trip Grants: This grant program that accepts applications statewide.
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Environmental Education Regional Grants
According to the EPA, this grant program will “support environmental education projects that promote environmental stewardship and help develop knowledgeable and responsible students, teachers, and citizens … for projects that design, demonstrate, and/or disseminate environmental education practices, methods, or techniques … and that will serve as models that can be replicated in a variety of settings.”
Ten grants of up to $216,000 will be awarded, one per EPA region, for a total of approximately $2,160,000 in funding. Local educational agencies, colleges, universities, state education or environmental agencies, and nonprofit organizations are eligible for this grant
