Roland Garton

President / Founder

With three decades of experience in grant writing, program and project management, and administration, Roland established The Grant Helpers in 2012 to help others secure and manage grant funding to support their organization's community initiatives. After earning his bachelor's and master's degrees in education from the University of Illinois, he first began teaching in public schools, and then went on to develop educational materials for computers. His professional work experience also includes both university and small business employment, with assignments ranging from grant writer to documentation and training to Director of Operations, with specialties in computer-based education, software development, computer security projects, and many others.

Carol manages the day-to-day operations at The Grant Helpers. With more than 30 years of experience in education and organizational development, she specializes in designing and managing effective education programs for the business, government, education and non-profit sectors. On behalf of teachers and non-profit organizations, she has identified, applied for and received grants totaling more than $2 million.
