Federal grant funding for law enforcement and public safety agencies for fiscal year 2016 has been announced as The Federal Appropriations Committees recently passed the Omnibus Appropriations Bill. This bill authorizes the funding for federal grants through the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). Eligible applicants for the various grant programs range from states to local police departments to non-profit public safety organizations.
The United States Department of Justice (DOJ) operates the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). The OVW recently announced it is accepting applications for some of its 21 different grant programs. TheGrantHelpers.com has provided a brief description of each of the programs whose applications are due after mid-February. For a complete list of the OVW grant programs, please visit the OVW website.
